"The Voice" paid an emotional tribute to the victims of Newtown, Conn., on Monday night's show, opening with a beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."

All four voice coaches - Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera - kicked off the show singing the song, alongside a choir of contestants from this season, and host Carson Daly and correspondent Christina Milian.

The group sang the beautiful number as they each clutched a small card with the name and age of one of the Newtown community lost in the tragic ordeal on Friday.

Candles lit up the stage during the performance.

After they finished the song, there was a moment of silence before the show's introduction to the finals began.

"Our thoughts and prays go out to the families and people of Newtown, CT. #TheVoice family sends love and support," executive producer Mark Burnett Tweeted.
