As "Jersey Shore" wraps up its final season, castmate Vinny Guadagnino is preparing for his next gig - a talk show on MTV - and the 25-year-old reality star is trying to keep his nerves about his new project in check.
"I am [excited]," he told Access Hollywood at the Restore the Shore event in New York City on Thursday evening. "I'm like my own worst enemy, you know -- until it's actually happening and coming out, I'm just like, keeping it cool.
"But I really am excited," he added.
The format of Vinny's new show, titled "The Show With Vinny," will be part talk show and part reality show, so he'll be shining the spotlight on a few of his family members - including his mother.
"My mom, she is like the ultimate host -- like she cooks for everybody," he said. "I mean, everyone is a family member who walks into my house. My mom is so hospitable."
Also on board for the show? Uncle Nino.
"My crazy uncle Nino will be there, that we all know, and he chimes in and he's hilarious," he said, referencing his uncle who also made appearances on "Jersey Shore" over the years. "And then they'll be other ones here and there."
A premiere date for "The Show With Vinny" has yet to be announced.
