Off with her head! At least, that's the message that Beyoncé fans are sending to Wendy Williams after the TV host made negative comments about the music superstar on her show.

"I am a Beyoncé fan. I'm gonna watch her upcoming documentary because. fortunately. one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I'll be able to understand what she says," Wendy Williams said this week. "You know Beyoncé can't talk. She sounds like she has a fifth grade education."

When audience members began to boo, Williams added, "Excuse me, I just said I was a fan. But we have to call a spade a spade."

It wasn't long before the wrath of Beyoncé's loyal disciples rained down upon Williams.

Buzzfeed was one to chime in, simply writing, "Not cool, Wendy!" Meanwhile, Perez Hilton defended Beyoncé's speech: "OH NO SHE DID NOT! In fact, we've always thought of Beyoncé as rather eloquent, and we are generally entranced AND informed by her words!"

And fans made sure Williams knew their devotion to Beyoncé wasn't swayed by her opinions.

"Yes Wendy, you can't just say I am a fan of someone, then trash them and then expect everyone to be ok with what you said about them. That's covering your behind and underestimating OUR intelligence!!" a commenter wrote on Huffington Post.

"Wendy is wrong!!! Beyonce has always shown grace and intelligence when speaking and being interviewed...So what if Beyonce didn't finish school. She can communicate just as well as Wendy and still be appreciated on all levels, including the president of the united states!!! Oh! Has Wendy had that opportunity yet?" another wrote on AOLMusic.

"let me just go on the record and say that wendy williams and her adam's apple can have a COOL seat for that beyonce comment," tweeted @dee_mcgee.

"You went after the Voice aka Whitney Houston. Now, you're going after Beyonce. @WendyWilliams Give it up. Drama is for school children," tweeted @SirenoftheMoon.

This isn't the first time Williams has voiced controversial opinions about other celebrities. Last month, she made it very clear she didn't approve of Heidi Klum's relationship with her bodyguard boyfriend so soon after the model's split from Seal. And Williams was also criticized by former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" actress Janet Hubert for bullying Whitney Houston in a 2003 interview. She also recently stepped into a feud between Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Nicki Minaj.

Some fans, on the other hand, agree with Williams's less-than-flattering views on Beyoncé, who was recently called out on mistakes she made in a hand-written letter to Michelle Obama.

"I have to give it to Wendy on this one. Beyonce has always showed as real lack of any handle on grammar," wrote another Huffington Post user. "Wendy could have left the 5th grade thing out of her comment and just expressed a more kind and developed criticizm."

Whether Beyoncé's speaking skills are perfect or still need some work, the general consensus seems to be that Williams crossed a line. What do you think?
