Reese Witherspoon and Husband Jim Toth Enter Pleas in Atlanta Court

According to several online reports Thursday, the "Mud" actress, 37, did not appear in court as her attorney pled no contest to the charge. She will reportedly pay a $213 fine.

Her 41-year-old husband, Jim Toth, however, will not get off as easily. Toth, the co-chairman of CAA's film talent department, reportedly did appear in court and pled guilty to DUI. He won't get jail time, but was sentenced to both 40 hours of community service and to an alcohol education program, and was given a year of probation.

According to TMZ, the judge told Toth, "Consider yourself fortunate you didn't injure your passenger [Reese] and didn't kill anyone."

Witherspoon sat down Thursday morning with "Good Morning America's" George Stephanopoulos to say on camera for the first time what she had already said in a written statement -- that she was deeply regretful of her actions and was taking full responsibility for them. The police report at the time of her arrest read that at one point she asked the cop, "Do you know my name?" and "You're about to find out who I am."

"I saw [the police officer] arresting my husband and I literally panicked,” the Oscar-winning actress explained on "GMA." "I told him I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things. ... I was so disrespectful to him. I have police officers in my family. I work with police officers every day. I know better. It's just unacceptable."

The arrests in question took place on April 19, when Toth was pulled over after an officer observed his car drifting in and out of his lane of traffic on Peachtree Street in Atlanta.
