Even Audrey Hepburn got airbrushed

Audrey, before and after. (The New York Post)

Think female standards of beauty are higher now than they were in Hollywood's Golden Era? Think again. The New York Post has photo evidence that timeless film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn could not avoid getting "retouched" a la every actress on the cover of every magazine in this modern world. The images, released as part of the 50th Anniversary of "Breakfast at Tiffany's," show how Hepburn's flawless face was marked for the tiniest of flaws -- fine lines, wrinkles, crow's feet -- and then smoothed over for a glossier result.
