Christina Ricci is about to fly the friendly skies to the altar.

The 32-year-old former "Pan Am" star is engaged to James Heerdegen, a camera technician she met while working on the now-defunct ABC series from 2011 to 2012. Ricci confirmed the news, with a flash of her new diamond sparkler, on Friday while in Los Angeles.

According to the former child star, Heerdegen proposed "a couple months back," with the Daily Mail reporting that Ricci was seen wearing her engagement ring as early as October 2012.

The couple reportedly went public with their relationship in February. No doubt the news had Ricci fans scratching their heads and asking: Who?

Heerdegen has been working as a dolly grip for the past 13 years on films such as "Baby Mama" and "Men in Black 3." In 2009, he started working on TV sets as well, starting with "Nurse Jackie" in 2009 and then "Pan Am" in 2011.

In the past year alone, he has worked on the film sets of M. Night Shyamalan's "After Earth," the Tom Hanks vehicle "Captain Phillips," and Ben Stiller's "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," all of which are set to premiere this year.

Though it is not clear whether Heerdegen and Ricci started dating in 2011 or last year, in February 2012 they reportedly vacationed in Puerto Rico at the W Retreat & Spa-Vieques Island.

“They lounged on the deck of their room a lot,” a source told Us Weekly.

This is the second time Ricci has been engaged. In March 2009, she was set to tie the knot with actor Owen Benjamin, whom she met on the set of the film "All's Faire in Love" in 2008, but they broke things off three months later.

"They remain good friends and are still talking a lot," a friend told Us Weekly.

Let's hope this time Ricci makes it to the altar!
