Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Even with a shaved head, it's still Charlize Theron.

After months of keeping it under wraps, the 37-year-old "Snow White and the Huntsman" star showed off her new buzz cut in South Africa this weekend.

Theron, who usually sports long blond locks, was photographed with her shorn hair on full display on Friday, as she made a pit stop with her mom at a cafe in her home country of South Africa. The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly in Cape Town to shoot some final scenes for "Mad Max 4: Fury Road," the film for which she shaved her head back in June.

In the movie, Theron plays Imperator Furiosa opposite Tom Hardy's titular hero (the British star takes over the role from Mel Gibson, who played Mad Max in the first three films in the franchise, from 1979 to 1985). According to the film's official synopsis, Theron drives the War Rig carrying a group of survivors across the barren Wasteland.

It looks like the South African beauty has been to the salon a few more times since she started her trip. At the end of June, Theron was photographed on the film's Namibian set with her son, Jackson, her buzz virtually the same length as it was last week.

"Mad Max" began filming in July and was reportedly forced to relocate to Africa after severe flooding made Australia unfilmable as a dusty postapocalyptic landscape.
