A celebrity has donated $12,000 for the funeral of the paparazzo who died last week trying to photograph Justin Bieber's car. And it wasn't the Biebs.

Charlie Sheen, of all people, gave the family of 29-year-old photographer Chris Guerra the hefty check yesterday after hearing they were trying to raise money to bury him, TMZ reports. The "Anger Management" star was reportedly close to another snapper who was friends with Guerra.

"A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It's an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future," Sheen told TMZ in a statement. "As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved."

This is not the first time the 47-year-old actor has been generous with his fortune (in 2011, Forbes named him the highest-paid TV star, with $40 million). In fact, he regularly helps out those less fortunate than himself.

Just last month, Sheen gave $75,000 to a young cancer patient he had heard about through a police officer who was friends with the little girl's dad. After learning that the Hermosa Beach Police Association was raising money for Jasmine's treatment, the actor donated the large amount.

Before that, in November, Sheen reportedly gave Lindsay Lohan $100,000 to help pay off her tax debts. The duo met on the set of "Scary Movie 5," and though LiLo initially refused the cheque, TMZ reports that she used it to pay off half of her tax bills when Sheen sent it anyway.

Then there was the time Sheen gave Zac Efron a Babe Ruth-signed baseball worth $2.5 million, but apparently that was a mistake. See, even his errors are generous!
