‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ families unite at Bryan Cranston’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony

Who would've thought that "Breaking Bad" and "Malcolm in the Middle" would ever find common ground? But they did just that this week.

On Tuesday, Bryan Cranston received a star (the 2,502nd bestowed) on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. He was joined by his current TV family, "Breaking Bad"'s Anna Gunn and RJ Mitte, as well as his former TV family, "Malcolm in the Middle"'s Jane Kaczmarek and Frankie Muniz.

The 57-year-old actor, who currently stars as drug kingpin (and family man) Walter White on AMC's "Breaking Bad," was also flanked by his real-life wife, Robin Dearden, and his daughter, Taylor.

After playing his wife, Lois, on Fox's "Malcolm in the Middle" from 2000 to 2006, Kaczmarek was happy to pay tribute to her ex-husband. "We would count our lucky stars that Bryan Cranston was in our cast, that he was in our show, that Bryan Cranston was our friend," she said.

Muniz was equally enthusiastic about his former co-star, despite having driven 12 hours to the ceremony. "So glad I could be there to support my friend @BryanCranston get his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," he tweeted.

Cranston's onscreen "Breaking Bad" partner Aaron Paul was also present to honour the new inductee: "'Breaking Bad' would not be the same without this man. Let’s be honest, television would not be the same without this man. But I’m here to tell you all that I, personally, would not be the same without this man."

Meanwhile, Mitte, who plays Cranston's son on "Breaking Bad," tweeted a photo of himself posing with his onscreen mom and dad with the message, "The perfect family!"

And it seems like Cranston agreed. After doing pushups on his plaque and singing some of "On the Street Where You Live" from "My Fair Lady," he tweeted his delight about the family-colliding event on Tuesday.
