With almost four years under her belt, "1 Girl, 5 Gays" host Aliya-Jasmine Sovani announced on Monday that she will be leaving the show after the week of January 28. But worry not! Her replacement has already been announced: "Degrassi" alum Lauren Collins -- otherwise known as Paige Michalchuk -- will make her debut at a taping of the show on Thursday, Jan. 24, and the gents of "1G5G" couldn't be more excited.

"We're super excited to get a new host! Someone fun and, like, sexy. And we know she's gonna be super excited," show star David Robert said on Monday.

And who can blame them? As Paige, Collins climbed the ranks of "Degrassi" fame along with current "90210" star Shenae Grimes and Drake, the artist-formerly-known-as Aubrey Graham. So, Collins will undoubtedly bring a unique flair to the MTV Canada and Logo TV series.

At least, that's what we can take away from some the actress's best "Degrassi" one-liners -- which we assume will only get better on "1 Girl, 5 Gays."

What do you think of Collins's new gig? Will she fill the void left by Aliya-Jasmine Sovani? What do you think makes her a good choice for the series? At the very least, the chances of a "Degrassi" cast cameo just got a bit higher -- so here's hoping Drake drops in to rap a few tracks.
