American history was made in the early '90s, and no one thought to bring it up during the election.

In a 1993 episode of the PBS children's game show "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" then-senator Joe Biden put in a surprise appearance in which he gave host Greg Lee a call. In the clip, Biden names Lee he "Best Detective of the Year" before demoting him to a lesser-prestigious title -- and then demoting him yet again. Had Lee known what was in store for Biden 20 years later, he probably would have been a little more enthused about their 40-second conversation.

And while news of Greg Lee's honour failed to make headlines as Biden and Obama ran for re-election, news of the now-Vice President's upcoming "Parks and Recreation" appearance is earning attention. (Tune into Citvtv on Nov. 15 at 8:30 p.m. EST to watch Leslie Knope and Joe Biden cross paths.)

Sadly, despite Biden naming Lee the 'somewhat notable detective of the next 12 minutes,' Carmen Sandiego still remains at large. (Our guess: she ran off with Waldo.) Now, let's all enjoy a nostalgic listen to the very awesome "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?" theme song:
