The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” family is reaching out to fans as father and husband Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson undergoes tests for a suspected neurological disorder.

Thompson, along with his wife June and their daughters (including Alana, aka "Honey Boo Boo"), made their way from the family home in McIntyre, Georgia to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida to determine the cause of the TLC reality star’s ailment. As they departed from their home city, “Mama” June Shannon asked for fans to keep her husband in their thoughts via their official Facebook page, adding that as they traveled to Jacksonville, they were nervous to see what could be done for Thompson.

Shannon disclosed that Thompson has been “passing out a lot since May.” Doctors in their hometown were apparently unable to ascertain the cause of the problem. As a result, the family decided to visit the clinic in Jacksonville with the hope that they could find answers and put together a treatment plan.

Thompson has dealt with other health problems, including diabetes and pancreatitis, but the family insists that the potential neurological condition does not have any correlation to his previously identified medical issues. His “diabetes and pancreatitis are under control,” Shannon confirmed via Facebook.

As of Monday morning, the family was back at their hotel in Jacksonville after an appointment with a neurologist, but without any definite answers. Thompson went back in for more tests and Shannon confirmed via Facebook that they would be in Jacksonville all week to keep working with doctors to better understand the situation.

They continued to share their thanks for the thoughts and prayers of fans, as well as photos of the family with gifts from fans.

The family posted this photo along with the caption: “Thanks to Debbie from the bistro at our hotel for the handmade gifts we love them...”

TLC had no comment in regards to Thompson’s medical issues; however, updates via their official Facebook page have been relatively consistent, and the family has promised to continue providing information as tests and medical appointments proceed.

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" airs Wednesdays at 9 PM on TLC.
