Celebrity weddings are often a fairy-tale event, and this past weekend in Vancouver, the gnarly troll finally nabbed his tall, blond princess.

At least, that's the way Zach Galifianakis and now-wife Quinn Lundberg portrayed themselves on their wedding invitations this past June. And sure, we can't deny the fact that the 42-year-old funnyman from "The Hangover" and "Bored to Death" makes for an odd match for the stunning 29-year-old ballerina turned philanthropist (she co-founded the organization Growing Voices).

But, proving that opposites really do attract, Galifianakis wed the Alberta native this past weekend in Vancouver, B.C.

A rehearsal dinner of about 40 guests last Thursday at the Tea House in Stanley Park sent Vancouverites aflutter with speculation about where the main event would take place, but as with any good fairy tale, there was a little mystery involved. Even though photographers staked out many of the city's Greek Orthodox churches, the pair and their guests couldn't be found. The only evidence of the ceremony and ensuing celebration was found in the Twitterverse.

Sarah Silverman used it as an opportunity to voice her views on marriage: "To those who feel they deserve more rights than others, I say: 'Let Them eat c---' #MarriageEquality."

Patton Oswalt used it for significantly less political purposes: "Holy Oliver Reed, I am DRUNK."

Even though Galifianakis's "Hangover" co-stars Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms were reportedly in Vancouver for the wedding, no reports or photos from Zach's own bachelor party have surfaced as of yet. And that's probably for the best, since it was a big weekend for Galifianakis in a lot of ways: His latest movie, "The Campaign" with Will Ferrell, also opened on Friday.
