Pamela Anderson reportedly owes $370,000 in taxes

Pamela Anderson is a pretty good dancer, a convincing lifeguard, a PETA activist, and could seriously use some money lessons. The 45-year-old B.C. blonde reportedly owes over $370,000 for the 2011 tax year, the Los Angeles County Recorder confirmed to the New York Daily News.

It has been some time since Anderson has been a household name with steady gigs on TV shows like "Baywatch," "Home Improvement," and "V.I.P." Recently, she's had a string of bad years with Uncle Sam, owing $1.7 million to the U.S. government in 2009, $524,241 in 2010, and now this slightly less hefty debt.

As a result, it appears Anderson has been seeking other revenue sources, including appearing on the reality talent show "Dancing With the Stars." Celebs reportedly make a guaranteed $125,000 just for signing up, and if they make it to episodes 3 and 4, they make an additional $10,000 per show. That number doubles for episodes 5 and 6. Episodes 7 and 8 earn them $30,000, and 9 and 10 have a $50,000 payout.

On Anderson's first appearance on "DWTS" in 2010, she and partner Damian Whitewood made it to the seventh round, which means she may have made about $185,000. However, she was  eliminated from the first round of the 2012 "All-Stars" season, earning her the base $125,000. If the same rates apply for the show's Brazilian version, "Bailando por un Sueño" -- on which Anderson appeared in 2011, lasting until the fourth round -- that's another $135,000 in her pocket. To date, Anderson has reportedly made about $445,000 on "Dancing With the Stars," which likely helped her pay off some of her debt, though not all of it.

A massive renovation to her Malibu beach house in 2009 didn't help her financial situation. But in 2011, she put the house up for rent, asking $75,000 per month, and again this June, decreasing the price by one third. Both times, Anderson has said her reasons for renting out her house are not financiall; she says she has a busy travel schedule and wants to spend more time in B.C. (perhaps even moving back full-time!). However, there have been no recent updates about her permanent living arrangements -- only that she'll film three episodes of the Citytv sitcom "Package Deal" in her native province.

Anderson is somewhat of a pop-culture icon, and there's probably no lack of opportunities for TV guest spots or movie cameos in the near future, but in her hectic schedule, hopefully she'll find time for a class on Personal Finance 101.
