A man who allegedly harassed Canadian actress Ellen Page on Twitter has been whipped with a three-year restraining order.

The 25-year-old "Whip It" star had reportedly filed a complaint in June with the Los Angeles Police Department when she received a series of harassing tweets after she appeared with Alexander Skarsgard at a hockey game.

"I'm going to murder Ellen Page. She's dead," was one of the tweets, according to TMZ.

Another message stated, "Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year ... Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you're signing autographs."

Around the same time, someone called the organizers of the L.A. Film Festival (where Page's Woody Allen movie "To Rome With Love" was set to premiere) and threatened to attend the fest and claimed they would "kill Page." Unsurprisingly, Page didn't end up going to the screening. Can you blame her?

After sending a search warrant to Twitter, L.A. police closed down two accounts and arrested a man named Joshua Michael Myers. On Wednesday, Page reportedly attended a hearing, during which an L.A. judge ordered Myers to stay away from Page for three years and forbid him from contacting the Halifax native.

Fans of the diminutive actress have tweeted their support for Page and their surprise by the name of the man who has been causing the "Inception" star grief. You may remember Michael Myers as the masked killer from the "Halloween" slasher franchise.

"Ellen Page took out a restraining order against a stalker with the name of Joshua MICHAEL MYERS. #fakeserialkillersbecomingrealserialkillers," wrote Twitter user @YourGirlPenny.
