Looks like star power runs in the Cuoco family! Kaley Cuoco's younger sister Briana Cuoco, an actress who has had small roles on HBO's The Newsroom and CBS' The Mentalist, took a step into the spotlight on Monday, Sept. 23, when she appeared on the season premiere of NBC's Emmy-winning reality competition The Voice.
Briana was the recipient of some good news during the episode, as host Carson Daly surprised her with the announcement that she had scored a blind audition with judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine. Kaley, 27, was by her side at the time, and could not have been prouder of her younger sibling.
The Big Bang Theory actress' costars are similarly psyched about Briana's big break. "She has a beautiful voice," Mayim Bialik told Access Hollywood of the aspiring singer, who appeared in an episode of The Big Bang Theory earlier this year. "She is phenomenal. She's very, very talented."
Added Jim Parsons, who just picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series: "[Briana] is a great a lot of things. We give Kaley a lot of hell, like, 'Oh, so finally the world is going to see the really talented Cuoco!' Which is not true -- we just want to give her s--t!"
Briana, for her part, thanked everyone for their support on Twitter. "Wow, wasn't at my phone all afternoon and seeing everyone's support for The Voice when I get back is incredible!!!" she tweeted. "THANK YOU!!!"
