Earlier this week, Canadian rock band Arcade Fire issued a dress code for their upcoming "Reflektor" tour, which includes stops in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
“NIGHT OF SHOW: please wear formal attire or costume,” read special instructions on Ticketmaster.
This isn’t the first time the band has made such sartorial demands. Similar instructions were given just hours before a September show in Montreal.
Understandably, some people aren’t crazy about the idea – especially with the high price of tickets (for the band’s March stop in Toronto, tickets range from $46.50 to $225).
“Music should be for everyone, not just the ones that can afford it,” writes Yahoo user A Woman. “Symphonies don’t even demand formal dress.”
But, according to the band, the dress code isn't mandatory.
