Renée Zellweger sure knows how to keep a low profile.
The 44-year-old actress made her first public appearance in nearly five months on Monday as she attended The Painted Turtle and UCSF Medical Center's A Starry Evening of Music, Comedy & Surprises benefit at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.
Naturally, for her return to the red carpet the "Bridget Jones's Diary" star rocked her favorite color: black. Zellweger looked slim and trim in a little black dress, which she teamed with a set of pearls and a pair of peep toe heels. She wore her hair up in a messy bun and opted for minimal makeup.
The stunning star was joined by "Glee" actress Amber Riley, Annette Bening, Josh Groban, Bonnie Raitt, and Danny DeVito at the star-studded benefit.
Zellweger was last seen in an October in at a Giorgio Armani event in New York City, but has stayed out of the spotlight for several years. Her last film was "My Own Love Song" in 2010.
